Bladder rupture and bilateral testicular haematomas were caused by a road-traffic accident. The patient presented with infertility some years later, when a left varicocoele and an abnormally small left testis were found, together with elevated FSH and LH levels. On biopsy, only Sertoli cells were found in the tubules; these extended from the basement membrane to the lumen. H&E stain. By courtesy of Dr WE Kenyon.
